We’ve gone ahead with our 2013 layout upgrade as planned. So far there have been no reports of any issues by our testers. There are a few important things you need to know about some of the new features, and upcoming features.

You can now join Interest Groups

You can now join “groups” on the site to connect with other Looters who share similar interests. These groups have their own sub-Forum, so you’ll be able to have conversations about anything involving the group’s focus. We’ve gone ahead and created 10 groups to get you started, but you will be able to add more Groups.

Member’s Directory

You can now view the entire Member’s directory, including other people’s profiles. You are able to connect directly with people, adding them as “Friends” which will make chatting with your Looter-pals a breeze.

Account Settings

You have a lot more control over your account now, including the ability to change your email address, and delete your own account. Remember, deleting your account cannot be undone!

Your Profile Picture

You may notice your profile picture has changed. You can reset it by going into Account Settings. J.J. is working on a guide which will be out sometime tomorrow detailing how to update your profile. Your picture will display on your profile, forum posts, and in the new chatroom.

Sidebar Content

You’ll find some new information on the sidebar, including access to Groups and Members. On the FAQ page, you’ll find a few instructional videos as well.

Palace Chatroom

The “Palace Chatroom” which was hosted by Chatroll has been disabled. Please use the new chat along the bottom of the website.

Message Board

The old message board is still currently available, but will be getting a few adjustments made in a couple of weeks, once everyone’s had time to adjust to the new site layout.

New User Tutorial

Upon logging in for the first time, you’ll come across our walkthrough. You can choose to skip it, or follow it. It’ll show new people how the site works, and offers them a way to earn a few extra points on top of their registration bonus of 1,000 points.
