New Chat System in Testing

Friday afternoon we begun a live test of our new chat system. You’ll see it along the bottom of the website. This post is a quick guide on how the new chat system works and it’ll show you some new features it offers. Currently Avatars do not display in the chat, but will be in the final version of this chat.

You can access the settings for the new chat system by clicking the icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. Doing so will open the options menu.

Click the Chat button to open a list of chat options. You can join the public chatroom, or chat directly with other members.

  1. I see Fairy Fingers got a “Hello” for the tutorial! Sorry, just “Geeking” out! lol But that is really cool! Lets me see WHO’S on and ask one person at a time, instead of showing my “noobness” in public chat. lol Thanks guys!

    1. The chat is still being worked out, but we wanted to get some user activity onto the chat to see if any glitches occur. Some new features are on the way. :)

  2. Cool! So now the chat bar is always at the same place on your screen, meaning I don’t have to scroll up and down between offers and chatting! ^-^

    1. Yep. That’s the main purpose of the new chatroom. The ability to privately chat with each other is exceptionally useful, and much easier to ignore than Chatroll’s PM feature that we had to shut off due to abuse.

  3. Another question. It only shows my username (kad wa.) but not the display name. I want only the display name only to show in new chat, is there an option to do that?
